P1's DX-230 and Super Wiggy

The controversial P1 Wimax has come up with 2 new devices recently to boost its image . The new devices claimed to has better connection speed and portability .

First , the DX-230 modem .


This modem features 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 2x LAN ports and 2x phone ports . Personally , this one look nicer compared to the old black box . And I've tried using this modem before and I can tell you that it is way better in providing good connection speed .

But if you're a online gamer , I recommend you not to get it first and stay with the old streamyx because P1 sometimes have connection issues especially at those new launch areas . Wait until they resolve their issues .

Also , like the old one , it is recommended to be put near a window or an opening such as doors to achieve better connection . So if you're going to put it in the middle of your house or office , DON'T !

In the aspect of portability , it almost weight as much as the old model so it makes just of a difference in that aspect .

Now , for the newly launched Super Wiggy

The Super Wiggy as they called it also provide better speed in terms of connection . It's colour and degisn matches its bigger brother , the DX-230 with a curvy body and white-green colour design . Overall appearance surpasses the old , less super wiggy .

In terms of connection speed , I've personally used it and I felt it was faster but not really fast . Despite that , it's still better and more realible than the old one .


Unlike the old wiggy , this wiggy has wires not like a pendrive . It has wires to it can be placed near openings like windows and doors . But with the accessories provided , you can put your wiggy hanging on your screen , attacted to the window or just standing there beside your laptop .



Overall conclusion , both devices live up to the claims of being a better modem and wiggy . They provided excellent speed and mobility . And I suggest you can go ahead to get them . And for those hardcore online gamers , you can hold on to your streamyx a while longer first .

After going through many opinions and reviews on this model . I can conclude that it is a good buy and it provides good battery life with performance which is still rare nowadays .

I know many might think '' Oh ! It's an acer . It's rubbish !" . Don't be spoil by others' opinion because it's your life and not theirs . You must tried it before you know it for yourself .

Here's the verdict on this model .

Compact, well specced and fairly lightweight (just over 2kg), the Acer Aspire 4820TG makes a tempting proposal for those who want to travel and not compromise on performance too much. An obvious downside is the construction quality, with a little too much flex evident. We'd have like to have seen a more advanced switching graphics system too, but it's nice to have the option.

There are some really nice touches here, but given the price tag of £899, some might want to see a little less flex across the body. But you can't deny that Acer have put together a notebook that is both practical and powerful in this new Timeline X model, the 4820TG.

By the way , the market price for this now is around RM2520 .
